Thanks for all the work!
I was trying to play Ufo 2 (Terror from the depth), which sort of works, but the mouse cursor is offseted a bit to the right, so it is very hard if not impossible to scroll to the left. The lack of a left mouse click also sucks a bit, I didn't try the 'hax' yet. If those two issues would be solved, the game would be quite playable

If you combine xbindkeys with xmodmap, you have yourself a right mouse click.

Also take a look at the mod3 on the mapper I have assigned it to backspace so backspace is kinda a "shift" key

eg: esc is mapped on , + mod3(backspace)
So backspace and , needs to be pressed

Have a play with the mapper

Have you tried recalibrating?

I mean the entire N900 (via control panel). I cannot think of a bug that would always cause a slightly offseted mouse.

When playing supaplex through dosbox the mouse is always about 3 mm right to the place where I touch. In maemo no problems...

Yeah, it is not a calibration problem. In Other applications the pointer is spot on, but in Dosbox it is off by a random amount of pixels, depending if it is in full screen or not.
In the 'windowed' mode, the pixel is off by maybe ~20 pixels or so, constantly. In full screen mode, it is off by a variable amount that seems to be dependent on whether you clicked on the outside of the virtual screen rectangle or not.
