hi, sorry for the stupid question...to install i have to have installed as well gstreamer0.10-openmax, right?...so i cannot have this and http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...highlight=720p at the same time...

ok, will give it a try then...
..so far...installed with no problems, 720pcam works normaly...but i dont manage it to work on my win xp msn..

You haven't written any details, so I can only guess that you've forget to setup proper rules for windows firewall. first of all, try if SmartCam on windows machine is receiving data. Then, without closing smartCam, try to use it as camera source.
Also, Your VoIP program must be set to use 320x240 as video input resolution. I wonder, if there is any way to change resolution used by SmartCam to higher one?

ok, i was trying this...with skype works brilliantly...without any setup..with msn...i broadcast some weird moving pixels and nothing more...something is not right...where can i find this settings in msn?

Well finally, I found this app.
Now I can use my N900 as a webcam for skype ... on Windows
and use it as a WiFi USB key with Qt Mobile Hotspot.
And both service can even work at the same time.
Just wonderfull.

Read it in full context - I meant there, that it doesn't conflict with 720p video recording/playback modifications (of n900 libraries), *not* that SmartCam itself work in 720p. which is kind of a pity, BTW.
