Hmm I need to figure out where they store the profile so I can remove it (seeing if that fixes my location issue).

Edit: Trying the default directory Firefox usually uses.
Edit: Nope no luck.
Edit: Correction that is where it's located

~/.mozilla/

Now to remove it, reboot, install Fennec RC2 and hope that the location works correctly this time.

Grab the xulrunner and fennec .deb files and install them with dpkg. For example the latest builds as of today (using wget to download--you can use whatever):

Code:
wget \
 http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mobile-1.9.2/xulrunner_1.9.2b6pre-20091229010603_armel.deb

wget \
 http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mobile-1.9.2/fennec_1.0b6pre_armel.deb
Then install thusly:
Code:
sudo gainroot

dpkg -i fennec_1.0b6pre_armel.deb \
 xulrunner_1.9.2b6pre-20091229010603_armel.deb
OR, you can grab the super dooper latest one based on "trunk" which is even more alpha. It is available here:

http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.o...trunk/?C=M;O=D

There grab the *_armel.deb of xulrunner and fennec as well, and install similar to above with dpkg.

Note: I am downloading these files now, I haven't installed or tested them yet.
when you use wget, where does it save to? I tried downloading http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.o...0458_armel.deb from wget but it says theres a problem with the format of the link, so i was jut going to download it and install.

* it says unsupported scheme.

It is saved into whichever directory you execute 'wget' from.

And.. no such luck. No idea what's wrong. o.O

And the odd thing is, it's just fennec, everything works fine using the default browser.

Edit: Well it works partially.

It no longer puts me in Texas (yay!)

But TMobile still doesn't work with it, not even with a different APN. Yet it works just fine in geo-location on the default browser.

This new 1.0.0 version definitely works better than the RC! Good!

And the UI is much better than the MicroB...

How did you install it?/ I have the files download from the nightly builds, but I don't know what to do from there.

looks like it launches, there is a delay before it opens though, about 20 seconds.
