This bug is still present in PR1.1 (2.2009-51-1) version. If you have any details about the problem to help solving it, go to https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6615 and read the comments. Then if you have something to add, post a new comment. Also remember to vote for the bug if you are experiencing it.

This bug seems to occur only when using static IP with Wi-Fi. There is also a potential devel level fix for the problem described in the most recent comments on bug thread https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6615

If you can confirm the bug only occurs with static IP, please post it on comments of the bug. Also if you are knowledgeable enough to use devel level fix, do post the results.

Great work my test actually confirms your statement. I took my phone off the charger at 9:40pm Woke up this morning and it has hardly budged. I hope Nokia comes out with a solution for this fast I cannot believe someone dropped the ball and didn't notice this.

well...guess what guys ? my n900 battery has gone bonkers... :-

1.my battery takes ONLY 4-5 hours to get it fully charged and that too when its TURNED OFF...it simply doesn't completes charging if its ON !!!well just as a side note my NOKIA N81 takes only 1.5hours to complete
charging...and so does other nokia phones in my house...

2.i put my n900 to charge at 5:00pm at a battery level of 0.4%! at around 10:30 pm its still at 0.4%!!!!! now beat that ! (refer pt.1)

3.then how long can it last after a full charge ??? 5-6 hours ??? nope...4 hours MAX...may be an hour in addition if i am LUCKY ENOUGH !!!

4.but guys u know what ?? i STILL LOVE MY NOKIA N900!!! i'm sure i'm gonna find a way out to get it in line....

I bet there's a way of just turning the wifi radio off. Be it a kill switch in /sys/bus/pci/drivers/ or somewhere. I doubt you need Texas Hold Em Tex to reboot the device just to do this...

What about the bleeding edge app? Doesn't that just kill the wifi?

Also, entering the command yo shut down Wifi and I get a No Such Device error, anyone care to give a proper step to completing?
