But it's an extremely pretty pig.
And which other pig could handle a 32 GB SD card full of music so well?

Not yet, but it's planned. For now, the separate app FM Radio Player handles FM Radio on the N900.

I got the update notice today and was very excited!

Then depression set back in. *lol*

What exactly do I type into Xterm so I don't have to reboot my tablet?

And yeah, video playback of my .avi movies still looks like screen drool. I don't know what I'm doing wrong here since mplayer handles these really well.

The only things I miss in Mediabox is a Music menu button "Tracks" were the songs are sorted on track name and the ability to type when searching for a song. It's a great program

meanwhile MediaBox home widget for Diablo is in extras-devel. testing is highly appreciated.
known issues:
1. Widget fails to start at hildon-desktop start after reboot (if anyone could test it in SDK and attach the log it will be wonderful), but after selecting it again in home menu it appears on the screen.
2. CPU consumption is not enough optimized.
3. Seek doesn't work for some reason (a bug in MediaBox?)
4. No cover art support at the moment.

video playback on n810 is horrible, 'cause video is not scaled proportionally, it just fills a constant rectangle.

For what it's worth, the youtube plugin on the new version is awesome.

I'm not an expert, but in that screenshot, the PID of osso_media_serv was 1201. So I assume you would type:
kill 1201
But I don't use the terminal for this kind of thing. I use "load-applet" which does a lot of neat things including displaying & killing processes via a GUI. I don't spend enough time in Linux to make it worth it to remember all the command-line syntaxes. I don't remember it & I end up having to Google it, so I don't generally experience the time savings others value.

Does this happen with all videos?
What exactly is wrong?
Does mplayer started on its own behave differently when using the mplayer backend in MediaBox?
Can you upload such a video somewhere so that I am able to reproduce the problem?

Do you mean something like what you get when you go to [Music -> Folders -> All Tracks] ?
