This will not stop you from using the bootloader if you want, its just not needed. I will be running KDE from mmc boot, this is only for those technically challenged (NO OFFENSE )

3) Will you also be releasing any future SUPs as tarballs or are you going to just make them all .deb files - in other words - if I stay with my existing installation of KDE can I still install updates or will I eventually have to change to the new .deb method of installation if I want any updates? I kinda don't want to reinstall KDE because I've got it set up sooooooo nice and don't want to have to tweak it all over again.
SUP.tgz and kdesup-3.5.8.deb are the same files, just installed differently. There will still be future versions of SUP.tgz and kdesup-3.5.8.deb. TARBALLS WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE, AND ALWAYS BE OUT BEFORE THE DEB. So all your work safe. I will probably need to make SUP.tgz for new and a SUP-upgrade.tgz, because I don't want to step on your settings, although any setting changes I make, you would not then get, only software changes.
