Is there any way of changing it to just a picture?
I want to get rid of the boxes, clock ect....

Take a look at the Menu for the Home page... You can enable or disable any of the boxes.

Related note: Do a forum search for wallpapers. Someone posted a link to a bunch of nice presized ones.
