So, i have to flash (hard reset) my phone because installed android gingerbread and no its not turning on..

I'm going with these intructions: http://thenokiaguide.com/2010/01/11/...sets-all-data/

"# Turn your N900 off.
# Press and hold the U key on the keypad.
# Insert the USB cable, into a USB port, NOT a USB adapter. (a USB symbol should appear on the top right of your N900 screen, and also the Nokia logo in the centre).
# You can now let go of the U key"

I did that but there isn't the usb symbol, so the flashing software doesn't detect the phone

Please help !

I use windows xp.
All what phone does is the nokia logo and the orange light, so i can't even get to multiboot menu where i should change betlees os.

EDIT: phew, solved it ! The battery was totally empty, so it hasn't power to get usb mode. The orange light comes when plugging cable EVEN WITHOUT battery!

So i get te battery full with my own way, and the usb logo appeared
