I previously suggested a widget that would allow scribbling notes on one of the 4 desktop panes.

I want a sticky notes widget that takes stylus input for handwritten notes. On the desktop. Combine PenPen and sticky notes.

I also wish there was a media player (like the very nice Symfonie) that was able to play media while the phone is in silent mode (Can't have the phone ringing at work.)

I would love to see a visual voicemail app. Possibly using youmail.com.

The only other app I've missed was shazam, but then came instintiv

1. I don't know if this is do-able but I just want a static Icon to launch the phone app on top right of the homescreen (as opposed to the dashboard icon on the top left

2. I want an app that integrates and provides easy access to google's following web services: gmail/calendar/docs. And allows us to use it offline/online and sychronizes. Allows us to download and upload files onto google docs. (I know this is a hard one, and I'm sure much of this has to be done by google itself)

3. OH YEAH, i forgot, and also I know theres a bunch of applications in the respositories that need promoting, and since the system's kinda weird, I just want an app that allows us to see all the applications installed on our phone, and more easily, allows us to rank and write reviews for them.

4. Swype Keyboard - I've never been a fan of the virtual keyboard of the n900, Quite frankly typing is okay, but I can always type A LOT faster with the hard slideout qwerty keyboard. I don't think virtual keyboards are that great for resistive screen, BUT I do think swype would be PERFECT for resistive screens and the n900. (This is also kinda of a dream app too, swype is so exclusive, even on android, I applied months ago on the beta program and still didn't get in on it, but I do have the apk already =P)

That's about it, I think most of n900 users are very satisfied about the functionality of the n900, and I, like many other would just like to see revamped GUIs on the existing applications we already have

I agree we have a lot of useful apps that are half done and not polished

I still say, let's get 3G Video call first (to complete the 'phone' functionality and put a stop to all those threads).

Second, I'd vote for Ovi maps with turn-by-turn navigation (at least like the regular Ovi maps on Symbian).

Someone mentioned lightsaber...I think that sounds very interesting also.

For me it would be a version of MS Silverlight so I could watch sky proograms. Failing that a maemo Slingbox player. These are the only things I miss from my N95.

But their database seem quite lacking. I've has several misses with instinctiv - with shazam on a symbian phone they were all hits.
