AFAIK that sensor is way off/broken, you're better off using an external thermometer :P

CPU 250/600
Room temp. 19° Celsius ( 2m above floor, digital thermometer)
QCPUFreq temp - 28° Celsius (LCD on, opened 2 x SMS, 2 x Browsers, Garnet VM, QCPUFreq - idle)

IR surface thermometer AR852B
1. front LCD on - max. measured temperature is: 22.5° Celsius
2. removed back cover max. measured temperature is: 23.0° Celsius

No charger attached!

showing 37°c, not sure of real temp but will report back with external temp.
