when try 2 download pidgin it says conflicting application packages or somethimg like that, so can i download it from another source i mean not from the catalogues from any where else, and if there a way 2 download apps without using the catalogues please help me.

for me the pidgin protocols for the integrated msn make problems since pr1.2.
can't log in,contacts disappear,messages don't arrive,avatar isn't there and so on.
now i use the pidgin app and so far everything is allright
