Should I remind people that the previous PR leak had a bug on the browserd daemon eating randomly 100% of the CPU, some people got to the point that they couldn't charge the battery of the N900 because it had gone under the threshold that allows the N900 to boot into charge mode...

People had to come up with a frankenbuild mix of PR1.1 and 1.2 to be able to use the phone because the modem firmware had been updated and wasn't compatible with PR1.1 so no easy rollback.

for all that flashed with leaked firmware, there is a howto about downgrading leaked pr1.2, i think the procedure should do the job with leaked pr1.3 too - http://meegoportal.com/?p=171

Its starting to sound like the nokia forum! every testing thing is being removed... so what! let people try the firmware! whats the problem? I would love to take the risk. i dont care.

Silenced app has allready caused me more trouble then the whole 1.2 leaked firmware.

You remove links so people wont test dangerous stuff but put wiki's on this website how to overclock the n900 to dangerous frequencies.

Danger isn't the main issue. I respect your right to turn your expensive electronics into paperweights.

The main issue in the case of leaked firmware is that the image contains copyrighted materials, and the copyright holders have not authorized this distribution of those materials. Unauthorized distribution of copyrighted materials is against the rules of this forum.

Feel free to find a lax forum where the moderators are not so ridiculous. We had enough of this during PR1.2 leak, thanks.

There is a very strong argument that the use of this copyrighted work falls under fair use for all of us.
