The new version does fix the issue, pyRadio and HealthCheck are working fine again. Thanks.

1. YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO INSTALL/UPDATE PYQT MANUALLY UNLESS YOU'RE A DEVELOPER. Really, it says so in the description.

2. NEVER EVER UPDATE PYQT FROM EXTRAS-DEVEL, ONLY EXTRAS. If I didn't push it to at least testing, I know there is something wrong with it.

3. SOFTWARE IN EXTRAS-DEVEL CAN AND WILL GET BROKEN OCCASIONALLY. So don't word threads like this - there could be a working version in hours and then it will only cause confusion (as people will not know if it refers to the version in extras-devel or the stable one which will have this obviously fixed).

(and yes, I'm on it, hope to have a working version soonish)

This thread was supposed to be a warning to other users and help find interim solutions for those who already have updated.
I was certainly not intending to complain or assign blame, if that was your impression, I apologize.
Your advice of course stands above everything else, but I like to live dangerously.

Also, thank you for the quick update.

Hi, maybe it is needed to up also other packages like:
http://maemo.org/packages/view/python2.5-qt4-maemo5/,
http://maemo.org/packages/view/python2.5-qt4-gui/ and
http://maemo.org/packages/view/python2.5-qt4-core/

At the moment many users are blocked from installing several apps (and they haven't touched devel).

HIH

Thanks for the report, but that's an error in the promotion system somewhere (or some broken dpeendency mayhem), sip and common packages got somehow erroneously promoted to extras (i.e. it's sip and common that are in the wrong place, not gui/core/etc).

Hi,

Is there any news on that?

It seems that it hasn't been corrected yet.

Thanks

Install latest python2.5-qt4 from -devel, or by downloading the following files:

http://repository.maemo.org/extras/p...emo1_armel.deb
http://repository.maemo.org/extras-d...emo1_armel.deb
http://repository.maemo.org/extras-d...emo1_armel.deb

This fixed my problems with sleepanalyser & wifieye.
