Love the app design, but i think is not usable at least for me, is sloooow as hell! scrolling the album list is painful, 100% CPU usage, may be because of album art scan? hope they fix it, and we finally will have a superb portrait music player.

The CPU usage in the starting of the player is because it checks the memory cards for added or deleted songs. We are working to improve this.

Also having rough scrolling experiences, but I think I read you guys are working on this

Unfortunately I can't use this as my main media player without landscape mode and playlists though...

Can you guys please tell me how to donate?

3rd time asking now :P
We are trying to improve the performance of the player. The landscape mode is also in our TODO list.
About the donations - thank you for the suggestions, but as Peter said, the player is free. ))

Thanks and regards,
Mihail

But landscape looks fine, it just refuses to stay there. If one goes to exposee, the player reverts to landscape and it looks quite fine. Don't know if the controls still work or anything, because it can't convince it to stay like that.

Also, nice player, nice finish, if only it could edit ID tag it'd be perfect.

Oh, and, the album art things is a very, very nice touch.

An excellent app.

Landscape should be like the Media Player with art on the left side.

Anway, all I want is the following feature then it's all good:

1. Video support
2. Playlist + repeat mode
3. Landscape mode option
4. Lyric fetching (optional)
5. And of course...bug FREE.

Oh yeah, lyrics.

I'd settle for embedded lyrics, if they are synchronized.

It will never finish analyzing for me. This is what I get when I run it from the command line:

I think any respectable player who has the ability to display lyrics should have an option to correct them!

Regarding the video support, my advice for the developers is to stay focused on the main purpose of this application! It's better to have a reliable and fully customisable music player than an application who can do many things but none at full capacity!
I think video handeling should be discused when there will be nothing to do regarding this audio player, when all the capabilities of a decent player were added!
And to be sincere, there are enough video players in development!
Still looking forward for:
- playing by browsing folders
- downloading cover by request
- equallizer
- repeat function
- even id-tag's editor
- landscape ui, for the car holders
....

This could be the best and popular audio player for maemo, like is winamp for windows. And not to remember all the winamp audio options. By the way... Thinking at winamp, the application can handle video files but it's not something desirable, it's more like a pain in the ***. A really valuable application should focus on a straight direction.
Audio Player - that must be the INSTINCTIV way!

Cheers!

I found one bug. When a song is playing and the screen is locked you can't change the volume without having to unlock the phone. I tried this with the default media player and I had no problems.

I very much agree with this! There's no lack of decent video players and there's very little Instictiv could do to differentiate itself. Instictiv's strength is its UI but that's not really an issue when playing video... Plus, adding video have a negative impact in performance, loading times, CPU and ram usage for thumbnailing, etc. which is something that must be avoided at all cost. Please focus on the music player first!
