Sorry to drag an older post up.. but its related..

Does anyone know if theres a way of having desktop shortcuts or buttons to change your avavilability status.. and maybe even try and connect to a network when you choose available (assuming you're offline to start with)?

I know its in teh top menu, but I want easier access
