Hi

Just wondering if it is safe to use the N900 charger to charge other micro USB devices, such as the Motorola Milestone for example. Looking at the 2 chargers, the Nokia one seems to have a higher output so not sure if it's safe?

I know that in the EU last year a regulation was created to force mobile phone makers to make micro usb chargers which are compatible so could this be a product of that?

Thanks

i dont know but it should be a product of that.

it would be strange to circumvent that law by tampering with the microusb specs

I charged a friends Motorola Droid/Milestone last week without any problems.

I think you can charge any mico usb device with it. The Nokia charger can deliver more output than a standard usb port but it doesn't mean it always will.
