I love my N900 and it is a great phone mainly because it is so open!

But does anyone else feel themselves being drawn towards the HTC desire?

No, I don't like HTCs.
I think Android is garbage.

Desire is a great device. I'd love to have one. If I did, I would be tempted by the N900

Just enjoy the device you have. Each device has it good points and its down sides. If you're buying a new one, research a little and choose the one you like more. If you already have one, don't drool over the others They are all so powerful and cool, be happy to be able to use any of them.

Just my 2 cents.

Yes definitely. n900 is quite good but I think android is better with more commercial apps. desire seems so thin and has digital compass too. But not divx as far as I know.

I tested it at local store and as all android phones there the interface seems to be somewhat slow to taste. Not interested.

I do like the look of it, but the web browser is not a full one like the N900, plus it Android OS currently only allows 120Mb for apps, it doesn't allow you to install apps on the memory card either..

Nope. but I am getting an Incredible and a Droid. Whichever has the best radio reception is a keeper

Tmo is losing another apathetic customer.
