Hi all,

Just wondering if there is an update to the release that was promised 6 months ago. Or whom can we ask?

Thanks,

"Although the primary focus of the Summit was Maemo 5 and the N900, there was some very welcome and long-awaited news for legacy OMAP2 devices. Texas Instruments announced at the Summit on Friday that they would be releasing the graphics drivers for the processors powering the N800, N810 and N810WE in the next 2 weeks. This is great news for the community, as it means that it will be possible to jazz up the UI for Mer and Maemo 4. Classic tablet owners may have some fun in store for them in the near future"

Anyone on this site from Nokia whom we could ask and maybe hold to an actual release date without excuses or does Nokia not follow through on any of its promises?

Here is the thread:

It was somewhere around page 36 that we got it. The remaining pages were people hacking with it an trying to get it to work. Last I checked, we didn't have any conclusions as to what would be able to use it (e.g. new game ports? Mer desktop?).
