Cheers in advance Tim
Yes, someone just needs to patch the software. The hardware is limited to 76-108MHz https://www.silabs.com/Support%20Doc...2-13_short.pdf .

Omg yes, 76Mhz 76-87.5Mhz is not used at all in Europe for normal radio frequencies but quite a few radios do support it (Especially Asian ones for 76Mhz+). That way you don't need to search a free frequency anymore in popular areas

Uh I SOOOO want the frequency on the N900 to go from 76 to 108 (even though there's a patch to allow it to reach 108)!!!
And on the same matter, a small question if you guys may - why can't I choose an even number of a sub-frequency in my FM-Transmitter? I can choose, for example, 103.1 but not 103.2... I can choose 103.3 but not 103.4... Anyone knows whys that?

are you running a usa firmware on your device? i know that every time ive been to the usa, the hire car radio tunes in odd steps of 0.2 e.g 97.3,97.5,97.7 ; i presume this is because the country is so big they must use higher power transmitters and need greater channel separation to avoid crosstalk
