locusf:

I was advised that using your ramzez on my n810 will improve performance and help with using the latest Fennec browser which I really love!
Does this require a reflash to set up the 64 MB partition?

thx

Hmm, I don't think that it would require any reflash, just install the debian package called ramzez-init (from the garage page or from this thread) and you should be good to go.

forgive my ignorance but I tried to use the zipped file on pg 1 of this thread but the unzipped folder showed nothing that could be installed by the App Mgr!
how do I add the Garage repository to get it to show in available installable apps?

https://garage.maemo.org/frs/downloa...ablo_armel.deb

There is the file to install, just select "Install from file" menu option at Application manager after downloading it.

Hmm, you could try to install it via a terminal.

You need to install rootsh package from the package manager and then run the terminal.

In the terminal, type:

Code:
root
cd {path_to_ramzez_0.3_diablo_armel.deb}
dpkg -i ramzez_0.3_diablo_armel.deb
That should do it.

unfortunately, no...

installed the rootsh and then from XTerminal copied and pasted your code and got the following:

cannot access archive: No such file or directory
Errors were encountered while processing:

The attached patch is a version of the swap event notifier patch in the compcache 0.5.4 source which doesn't change the ABI for the N8x0 kernels (likely doesn't work with the earlier swap notify_free code in older 0.6 prereleases). I've been using it for a few months now with no problems.

Someone else will have to post kernel binaries with the patch, as kernel builds proceed like molasses on my machine and my own kernel build is too odd for distribution.

thanks a lot, this is very useful app.
I am finding way to improve N810 performance.

I met some issue when install
Code:
# dpkg -i ramzez_0.3_diablo_armel.deb
Selecting previously deselected package ramzez.
(Reading database ... 17033 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking ramzez (from ramzez_0.3_diablo_armel.deb) ...
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of ramzez:
 ramzez depends on ramzez-init; however:
  Package ramzez-init is not installed.
dpkg: error processing ramzez (--install):
 dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
Errors were encountered while processing:
 ramzez
