Lol that looks dire! but at £9.99 it'll make a good paper weight for post-it notes

Yeh, if a non-nokia battery damages your phone I guess it would be pretty obvious to the engineers. I wouldn't risk it - with a nokia battery at least you have a warranty

So, anyone is brave enough to try this battery
1700mah = http://cgi.ebay.com/1700mAh-BL-5J-Ba...item4a98ccf3c5

@Darkshine:
If thats the only thing that concerns you then you shouldn't worry.

Personally , I would be scared to death of the (BoO000Ooom#!).

For now, I will keep my eyes on the extended battery reviews.

does the 5800 use the same battery as the n900 does?

Phones rarely explode. And yes, I should worry about my £500 device dying and nokia not repairing it under warranty because of some £10 chinese battery

As, I told you they wouldn't know. As some of the original Nokia's battery aren't that good. (Search google for: Nokia battery explosion or Nokia battery expanding)

The worst part is losing your arm. (Although, some are throwing an arm and leg to get n900 :P) --"Couldn't resist , I had to say it"

Anyway, I tried some of these extended batteries as far as I can tell, the only one that worked great with me was Japod (Cheaper and better than Nokia's original battery) and my cell phone still working fine.
