I made a .desktop file file to run osso-xterm and run root. It's using the terminal icon. I found where most of the icons are at. I would like to make a custom Icon and shortcut, it looks just like the rguler terminal icon now. What size and where are these icons at?

I can't verify right now, but they are often in /usr/share/pixmaps or in this case in /opt/usr/share/pixmaps maybe.

Oh yes, and you could also just put the full path to a file (a .png for example) right in your .desktop file. And as for the size -- it is whatever size you want your icon to be, I believe

I created a .desktop file. That file runs Xterm and exec's the root command. I would like for it to have a custom icon.
