I've gotten ahold of an N900, but for the life of me can't figure out how to transfer images to my PC. I've tried PC Suite and Mass Storage modes. Both don't show any of the images I've taken with the camera. Any clues?

If you have a memory card in there they will show up in a folder called DCIM. The drive should show up as a mass storage device.

Mass storage: open 'my computer' or whatever is the equivalent and find the n900. Folder DCIM contains your images.

If you're not seeing the n900 at all under 'my computer' you need an updated version of nokia pc suite for the drivers.

Thanks, guys. Any reason why they don't just call it "images" or something? Where does the DCIM logic come from?

Every camera I ever connected, including phone cams used that term. I have no idea what it means!

It would be more confusing to call it Images than DCIM, because all other digital cameras name their image folder as DCIM. Even my retired mid-90's "cost-silly-much-at-the-time" Canon has DCIM folder.
