Oh boy. I made this package, but it's in extras-devel, it's experimental. I mean, it was experimental, the package has since been removed.

I will replace it with a much better, general solution during this weekend, so hold your horses till then.

Edit: by the way, it's not a myth, AC-3 audio does work and it works well. No, it's not a Nokia conspiracy, I asked for the package to be removed personally. Just wait a bit

That is good to hear. As I don't have my N900 yet I hadn't really thought that some of my files inevitably will have AC3 audio.

Yes. Like MKV. Although I can't promise any kind of advanced support like switching audio tracks or displaying subtitles. Just demuxing and recognition by the built-in media player.

Whoops. I installed this before it was yanked. Anything potentially destabalizing or damaging that I should watch out for until you can post your updated version?

Support for subtitles and audio tracks would be just super! Let's hope!

I will make sure to obsolete the ac3-support package with my new one.

By the way, it doesn't work anyway, even the 1.0.1 version, so don't waste your time trying to grab it from some shady blogs... you have been warned.
