How would Google Voice have an unfair advantage? AT&T is still providing the actual voice and data transmission... It's just the Google Voice takes over some of the features of voicemail, call forwarding, and SMS. At least that's what I take it to be. Just got my Google Voice setup yesterday and I'm still trying to learn the full capabilities of it.

AT&T wants you to be paying THEM for all of those services.

yes i have outbound call using GV, its pretty simple, but you have to have internet access. The calls are routed through whatever phone you put down for notification and when your phone ring just pick up the your phone. That's how you make a call using GV

Hey texrat.

Been trying to use RTCOMM beta 2 as an alternative to DialCentral with my Google Voice account.

Are you saying that this is possible?

I have DC working fine but I have no idea what I'm doing with RTCOMM.

I'm so lost.

If I dial my home number, my other tablet rings, I answer that and then my home phone rings.

I'm having issues to say the least.

I've googled rtcomm and "google voice". I'm not finding any guides at all.

Could you please advise?

Unfortunately I'm not the expert-- my success has been hit and miss, which is frustrating to say the least.

i can make and receive calls. what irritates me is that when i make outbound calls some sip number thing pops up on the recipients end. How do you fix this so they know that your calling them :\
