I was driving to work and realize that since my in Dash DVD player has an aux in, I should be able to have MaemoMapper running on it's 7inch screen when I'm on a trip. This would be far safer than what I currently do. If I read correctly the video out is from the USB port? If so? what's on the other side of the cable?

No, the video out is from the headphone...err...A/V jack.

N900 is compatible with CA-75U video out cable: http://europe.nokia.com/find-product...a-cable-ca-75u

So you can get composite video and two audio channels out of it with RCA connectors.

Thanks. Seems I was wrong to cut my AV cables from the in dash screen. :-( Seems I'll have to make some kind of adapter, rewire one of these (did it before, not exactly fun), or see if I can re-locate the ones with 3.5mm terminals on both ends. MaemoMapper with flight and xmms playing the tunes will make for a very safe navigation experience.
