Hi. I have a 770 which I have had for some time (over 1 year). For some time, I have been having problems detecting any WiFi signals. There are dozens around me and I have one less than 10 feet away from the unit. I found that the battery would not hold a charge and bought a new one and charged it fully but still no signals (actually I should say that once in a while it will find a few signals, but never mine. Mine is in use by other devices and can be accesses by other devices).

I downloaded and installed the 4.2007.46-3 HE software and reflashed the unit but still there is limited capability to find any signals.

Any ideas what the problem might be? Is there a chip that wears out after a time?

Thanks,

Bob

Thanks, I see that this problem is pretty widespread and I'll follow the other links.

The notion of curling up in the fetal position in order to get a WiFi signal is pretty bizarre.

A passing mod can close this thread.
