Hi,

does anyone know if there´s a possibility to use a N8x0 as a Bluetooth remote control for Playstation 3 ?

Thanks in advance for any kind of helpful information.

Would be very nice to have. Would need to have mutiple options for Blueray playback to compeat with the PS3 default remote and also some options for audio playback control

Yea, but it would make a nice backup remote for when someone misplaces the other.

I'm bringing this thread back up because I also think it would be a cool app. Especially with the PlayTV coming soon.

PS3 remote control use bluetooth, and the NIT has bluetooth.

So what would it take?
Some analysis of the PS3 remote controller's output? and some UI design?
Or is it more complicated than that?

Any bluetooth champion arround?

I'm not an expert on bluetooth by any means, but I think you'd need some sort of network capture tools to save the signals that that the normal PS3 bluetooth remote outputs.

something similar to capturing and recording IR signals from IR remotes.

Then, if it seemed possible at that point, you could knock up a python+bluez application that would push the same signals over the bluetooth connection.

Oh, and you'd have to get the PS3 to pair with you tablet as well.

It might be possible, but I think it'd take some work.

I'm sorry I'm not more of a help :/
