Back when I was running the 2005 OS, there was a simple little CHM ebook reader progrm that I used.
I am pretty certian that the particular app has not been ported, but I noticed that libchm is available in one of the repositories. Does that mean a CHM viewer is available/under development? Are there any apps for the 2006 OS that can read CHMs?

You're probably referring to hchmview from Henry Tang. I didn't try it yet but he appears to have a version available for OS2006 here:

FBReader now has CHM support.

Which does not appear to do a good job with the CHM version of the Python documentation... some text, the examples, are plain not displayed. Hcmview, referred to previously, does appear to work very nicely, though!
