I am not supprised, operating a western like company in chine would needle in eye of all western people. Everyone know the reason is financial and reputation... Timing of this after many years with huawei, well as far I know huawei wanted to be the flagship of new tech like 5g, more and more aggro against them make sense, as China used to be only a worker and the knowladge was in west. Things are changing and answer to that fully economical and burochratical.

I am not promoting huawei , don't like them they give rly bad support or for me and no chance to get bootloader unlocked to delete their custom distribution (EMUI), this is one thing where I need to complain them. The other thing as this is China and in China somehow every road lead to goverment may influence the non-sense communication what Huawei doing. Last year where their company under massive political siege, did not do anything only try to calm down the customers. Maybe it is bad communication or influence of Goverment I have no clue why they do this way but they did. If huawei would went to opensource or at least make progress with negation they would be safe.

More interesting point what I read in some articles from UK, ARM will also plan to broke up with Huawei, so this is much more worse to them, than google. Pretty sure Huawei revenue mainly coming from other services / hardwares not from smart phone, but it seems a lavina trump -> google -> ARM -> who know where it ends, if telco's would broke up and delay 5g that would push back huawei to china....

Well I am pretty sure USA realized that China doing better job in technology+innovation and escalated their progress with USA companies and telco's and use politics in market, very similar to a "distrophy" but still better than answering with military.... Anyway if Huawei not reacting with some good news this situation can lead they leave the west and let eg. apple fly high once again . Based on the communication between the "agressor" and "defender" I am not expecting the situation will be solved soon...

From high height the only thing i can observe something like cat against turtle. Defense works well until a point then the turtle need to eat or drink. I would be personally happy if Huawei would add their stuff to the opensource community and move ahead the business as it should, but I see low chance to make it happen, especially if they need to hide something.

Well as we all know all telco corps has some king of interaction with the national information agency, in this particular case we know CIA can see anything in US... I would be not supprised if the same happen with china, but the choice made by us, are we going to risk our data or not. Personally I guess China can be happy with my heart rate or anything what they need from thousands of kilometers

then the USA has another problem...

If he wins the election ...more of the same and worse is coming to the US for the next 4 years..
If he loses the election...that may not be the end of it..
He may try to stay in power.

Likewise ...in 2024 ...When he has to leave power ...he may try to stay in power..

I would not put it past him to attempt to stay in power even when he should step aside..

I do not envy anyone in the USA having to put up with the current Prez or his administration.
