I would prefer FMTX (/RX)!
But will be okay with both.

Oh and it would be nice to have a shaver, too.
I actually have used the fmtx more than a few times. The IrDA, not so much. It lack power to transmit far and was one way (right?).

Looking forward to more images and hopefully video soon.

I haven't been hyped so much for a new device in years!

FMTX/RX and IRDA would be nice but I can live without them.

I was going to mention the N900 too. The curved keys of the N900 had a really nice feedback, allowed fast typing, and the shape helped navigating with the fingers on the keyboard blindly. I am quite happy that the keys are curved on the Livermorium, though flat keys shouldn't be an issue either on a keyboard larger than that of the N900.

On a different topic, I seem to remember that RGB LED had been confirmed, but I am not sure anymore and cannot find the information anymore. Did I dream it? I like FMTX/RX and IRDA (which I'm 99% sure will not happen), but RGB LED for notifications really is a life changer for daily use.

I would have really lost it with this thread and all the rubbish being talked, but I know everyone is just excited and impatient to get their hands on a new hw keyboard device...
(OK except maybe Dave999)

But if you think this wait is bad, just imagine what it will be like when it arrives, and everyone who isn't a hardcore programmer, after 5 mins ecstasy, has to put it back in its box, put it in a drawer, and wait until someone comes up with a workable OS to replace the horror that is android.

I hope Foxtel doesn't sue Fxtec for resemblance. Foxtec...
And I hope for a silver edition, myself, especially since phone is made of metal - should be nice.
Will keyboard backlight be single-color or RGB? Either way, good light-spreader would be nice - don't want light leaking this way and that.
And I still prefer resistive touch-screen over capacitive, but that's what Neo900 is for. Fxtec N990 is successor to N950.

Thank you. Best wishes.

see, that's the problem. We don't need workable OS, we need OS on wich work can be done. And sadly, ATM none of those "workable" ones shine at that.

Well probably the 2 most useable one are sailfish and probably ubports. Everything thing else (non android) is in alpha state as far as I know.

I would most likely use sailfish. Or dual boot sailfish Maemo Leste

The question is; will Maemo Leste really work on a Qualcomm SoC?
