Hi, I've done some editing in this days and now I've a "small" video file:

- 4 second
- 29.97 FPS
- Uncompressed Video 800x480
- PCM S16 LE Audio 16bit 44100Hz

So now I've a 144MB file... So my questions are:

- Can I use this file in my N900 as boot video? The file is huge but isn't compressed, will slow down the device or not?
- What is the best codecs to choose (to reduce file size) without lose quality?

Use Avidemux (in ubuntu/mint linux) to compress the video stream to XviD (two-pass average bitrate @1000 kbps), and compress the audio stream to mp3 mono 64 kbps.

I have since disabled my boot video but any file that the N900 is equipped to play can be used as a boot video and/or I assume a boot audio file if desired. I grabbed a MP4 video file from youtube of a Saturn V moon launch and it ran fine unmodified. I renamed the boot video.
