Earlier today I was searching for a timetable app for Maemo, and much to my surprise, I was unable to find one -- which is somewhat silly, even, given that in addition to your average office utilities and whatnot, we have console emulators (like DrNokSnes) and whatnot.

Quick Googling (for "student timetable app", if memory serves me correct) turned up this Android app called "Timetable", which not only looks decent, but is also open source (sources on bitbucket).

Would one of the local gurus be up to the (somewhat huge) task of porting this Android app to Maemo? Not only it would bring another much-needed app to Maemo, but it'd also be a great opportunity to write some documentation on how to port an Android app to Maemo, and maybe post said docs on the wiki so that newbie app developers and developer-wannabes could learn from that.

What makes this different from any other calender application? We have many of them in the Repos.
