My apologies if this was already asked before, though I couldn't find anything regarding my subject.

I'd like to know if there is a way to edit what power saving mode on N9 does, so I'd be able to edit these settings that are being applied to lower the power consumption.

I think you can use Profilematic rule on battery charging level if u're talking about automatic powersave behaviour.

Let's say that you're using power saving mode constantly, but you want to prevent power saving mode from setting the brightness to the lowest possible level, so you somehow edit the behavior of how it works and what it does. That's what I'm talking about.

you can disable Ambient Light Sensor and set brightness manually, so it shouldn't be overwrited by any situation (theoretically)

ideally we need some daemon, restoring some value, if brightness changed

That's not something I'm looking for. It would be great if N9 would use some kind of configuration file to read the settings for power saving mode. Maybe it does? I have no idea.
