Yes and the developer is working on it, please be patient!

PLEASE CHECK FIRST POST!

ToDo List:

- Persistence (chat history and stuff).
- Smileys (fairly easy to implement but VERY HARD to render in the GUI, especially in your input box)
- Multimedia messages (very easy to implement, kinda hard to render).
- Contacts sync.

after a certain period of time the 0.10 version crashes I think. 0.09 was more stable in standby time.

@Wichall

The first post;
You just need Qt and Qt-Mobility (I guess all N900 already have this installed but just in case)

Code:
apt-get install libqt4-core libqt4-dbus libqt4-xml
apt-get install libqtm-contacts libqtm-systeminfo libqtm-messaging
Check if the needed libs are installed!

First of all, thanks for making this! It's real great to see whatsapp coming to the n900.

There a few things i've noticed(don't know if they were mentioned before.

1. If in one conversation en person sends multiple messages. You get multiple notifications, which is kinda annoying.

2. When chatting with person a(the conversation screen of person a is open) you still recieve notifications for messages from person a.
While this is somewhat usefull(it gives a notification when you're phone is locked and the conversation with person a was open) It's annoying when chatting with person a

3. There is no vibration, only a sound with the notifications, even when the profile has vibration enabled.

But he those are just annoying things. I haven't been able to test group chat

oh one last thing. A feature I kinda miss is a list of people that are online. Not necessarily in the main window, but at least behind a persons name in the contacts list, when opening a chat with them.

i figure this is perhaps a bit thougher, since the java port wasn;t able to see this properly(it showed contact offline, while (s)he was actually online(the sent me a message a sec later.)

Thanks for porting though

Wasn't this fixed in v0.0.10?

Didn't have this either in v0.0.10. At least not in a group chat.

Isn't that the best part of Whatsapp? That you are able to send messages to people who are offline?
