11.0 works fine. This is the first of the new beta's I've tried, so I don't know if it's specific to this version.
I have the very same problem. Is there anything I can do or try to give a more detailed error report?

Any help is appreciated.

Run it via the terminal, it may produce some output there.

I've noticed something with version 11.50.12. When user agent is set to mobile, Facebook obviously loads the mobile page. This allows me to Check In, however it doesn't show the option to upload a photo (after going back and forth trying to find a way to get the Photo option available, I was given a message saying "Sorry, your browser does not support photo uploads. Please consider the option below: [email address]").

However, if I change the user agent to Desktop, and reload or visit the Home page of Facebook, the Check in option is replaced with "Photo", allowing me to upload a photo and tag people in it. If I close Opera, and launch it again (whilst still keeping the user agent as Desktop), I get the full desktop site.

Is there a way to fix this functionality, or is it to do with FB's mobile site?

Where does Maemo opera keep its certificate store (or does it use the platform's)?

So this seems to work with Opera Mobile.

Ah, but what kind of error? On my N810 it's a server-produced error saying that "The page requires a client certificate", in other words Opera has already accepted the server's certificate at that time.

Desktop Opera throws an "Unable to complete secure transaction" error page, which is clear as mud but better I guess. Firefox and chromium give a revoked certificate error.

I tried that before (I shold have mentioned...) but Opera seems not to be that talkative. I also tried some of the command line switches for the Linux version but none worked.

Opera is unusable at the moment (at least for me).

I'll try to uninstall, delete the user prefs and then reinstall.

Try to deactivate Opera Link.

According to http://my.opera.com/operamobile/blog...-2-for-android new version should fix this issue.

Doesn't work for me, I tried the arrow keys on their own, with shift, Fn, CTRL, "all it does" is move the cursor around.

Opera is a brilliant browser but the tabs handling is a bit cumbersome.

Nice! I hope this update comes to the N900, too. In the meantime I deleted tho whole /home/user/.opera directory. That worked. So I'm not going to enable opera link again until another update

Thank you very much!
