I am still hoping for CepiPerez to continue this clock replacement, but it seems he has other priorities.
I am no QT/C++ developer, so I prefer to stick to very small bug fixes in these cases. First I will have to look in de code. If it is a simple addition who knows, but don't count on it

F2thaK,
The solution I choose was not too hard to accomplish.

It is now possible to choose to set the date and time from title menu (where alarmsettings and countrysettings could already be found). You can't press on the date itself for this like in the stock clock.

The submenu jumps (temporary) to landscape if in portrait, just like the countrysettings submenu already does. In the controlpanel it does not behave like this, so this can be prevented. I will try to find out how this can be fixed as a next step.

P.s. I reverted the change from GMT to UTC. The date/time setting menu also used GMT, using UTC in worldclock makes it confusing.

I am eagerly awaiting to see this integrated in next CSSU with Open Media Player...

Installed today, seems to work good.
All tho I will put doubble alarms for the next days

Just a cosmetic tips.
You can replace the colourfull defualt back with a 800x424 black clock.png.
Locks way more nice to have a consistent black background in both portrait and landscape.
The clock background is this:
/opt/usr/share/themes/alpha/backgrounds/clock.png

The Open Media Player is now installable as a debian file, next to the stock player. Maybe that's not a bad choice in this case. But having two clocks versions is not desirable (multiple alarms etc...)

There has been discussion in this thread about integration in CSSU (pali en freemangordon made some remarks), but it got no follow-up...
