Wow it's huge. And the screen....where's the rest of the screen? I think the whole device fits in the screen of the N810. I'm nervous about the usb/charging port. I hope I don't have a problem. I'm seriously considering filing down the plug now rather than later.

bought now 'cause the price on ebay was quite decent for a never touched device and my LG shine is starting to give issues and I thought if I'm gonna spend on a phone I might as well do the 900. on ATT so it's 2.5 g for me but that's not too much of a big deal as I dealt with that when I was in London and it wasn't so bad. We shall see. Gotta get NAVIT up and running though.

Congratulations. According to the poll 80% of the cases no problems. Just be careful. e.g. do not trip over the wire while charging the phone.

Buy a cheap separate charger and some cheap batteries (there is a thread here telling you the best batteries) and you will reduce wear on the usb port by a huge amount by not using it much.

I'm using the usb port quite much and got the N900 for 1,5 years now and never had any issues.

I've dropped mine so it's hangimg on it's usb cable about 4-6 times so far, no issues. I think they've fixed it in later HW revisions.

As far as apps, go install rootsh, Power Kernel v.48, Backupmenu, ssh, and H-E-N for a start.

What means "file the port"? FiLL the port? To stabilize it?

That poll was closed too early. Keep reading past the first 15 pages, it's 29+ pages of people having problems.

plug has been filed...I only plug in once a day so...but really that issue (and the lack of 3G) kept me from buying when it first came out. Like Gerbick said, I've been watching the thread and it is really not comforting. The cord is not anywhere where I walk so I'm not worried about tripping. I am annoyed that I will once again have to buy another Mugen battery..I'll wait to see what kind of time I'm dealing with. Anyone have Opera 11 running? if so can you point me to it, the download i found on the Opera site would not install.
