Is there a reason why there's no port for XMMS for the N900?

Just recently installed version 1:1.2.10+20070601-1. Quite impressed! Here is a screenshot of it on my trusty old N800:

I went through all of the included skins and found this one, Helix-Sawfish" to be the most readable.

Did anyone ever find a way to get an entry in the task-list for xmms? I tried the instructions in qwerty12's posts (http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...&postcount=213) from this thread, but it didn't quite work. Xmms still launched, but no entry in the task list appeared. Some of the files he had mentioned that should be deleted didn't even exist with this build, so I guess this latest build is somehow different than the "KotCzarny" build he mentioned. I'm not sure where to get that build or if it'd be a good one to use at this point anyways.

I'm hoping just one person here can tell me how to using the scrobbler feature.

I enabled the plugin and typed my username and password from my last.fm account.

I have no clue what to do next.

Could someone please help?

I have never used that plugin, but my understanding is that it simply uploads your listening history to your last.fm account. If you log in to your last.fm account (via a web browser), you should see your xmms listening history on your main user page.
