Try this and see if you get the same problem:
1) Open a new browser
2) Click on the "maemo" link under the Google search text box
3) Click on "Downloads"

On mine, it crashes soon after. Is anyone else getting this problem and if so, how do we submit it?

Thanks
I had this problem when I restored an OS2007 backup. I guess the only solution is not to restore everything (settings maybe) from OS2007.

Thank god for this. I was getting so annoyed thinking how they can't have bigger pipe and that a torrent might be the better option (albeit somewhat illegal).

Is there a reason 'clear' isn't installed on the OS2008 for n800 ?
I mean come on, I give my mate sh*t for not having ping installed on his palm by default, its sad that a Linux based os doesn't have 'clear'

Nokia-N800-44-4:~# clear
-sh: clear: not found
Nokia-N800-44-4:~#

ugh! please tell me I am doing something wrong

I'd guess they figure most people won't be using the terminal.

It's easy enough to install though, part of the ncurses-bin package.

sources.list is located at /etc/apt/sources.list.d/hildon-application-manager.list

Well but then you are accepting the EULA for the torrent file, not for the firmware one.
Unless, I think, they change the EULA and letting it referring the .bin file downloaded from the torrent.

There's some legal issues here, I suppose...
