My Usb port is not working and nobody could fix it
The system is dead after updating the kernel and just rebooting for ever
I can not flash the device
What to do !!!!!
should I throw my N900 in the sea

What do you mean by "no one could fix it"? Why not? I sent my first N900 to have the USB port repaired and it has been working great since.

I suppose you haven't installed U-Boot before all this happened.

That would be the only way to get your system back up...

(recovery-console and backupmenu would be the other two options, assuming that your kernel was flashed correctly..)

i think i know what he means. sometimes the usb part just come off the main board - this can be fixed easily. in some cases (my last n900 was affected by this, too) the usb damages the main board while getting off. in that case it is not possible to fix the usb anymore.
