Just released in SZ (China). New iPad clones run Android 2.2 with hardware very close to iPad, around $200 - $290 USD.

8" Android 2.2 aPad - 1GHz Cortex A8 Processor - 512MB DDR2

10.2" Android 2.2 aPad - 1GHz Cortex A8 Processor - 512MB DDR2

Any reviews, discussion on these? I have laid my money down and waiting for the courier to show up. Been burnt before and not holding my breath, but as an ebook reader and wifi surfer?

The eight-inch looks interesting to me.

Let us know how your purchase works out. I'm also curious about shipping time.

$232 shipped for that kind of spec? 512 MB RAM for that price? Too good to be true, skeptical.

I'd be interested to hear if anyone here gets one of these as I'm on the look out for a tablet to test/play with.

Since when is a tablet a "iPad Clone"? The iPad certainly wasn't the first device without a keyboard. The device description even calls it a "Android Pad", so no need to push the idea that everything that's a tablet is a iPad Clone!

The specs look interesting, though I personally want higher screen resolution. I've gotten used to the 267 ppi by the N900, and I'm annoyed whenever I have to use anything less than that. (E.g. on the computer screen that I'm working on right now...)
