I just agree with you fully there...

For everyone interested there is a link at boxwave to submit your interest in such a aluminum case, Armor case, at:
http://www.boxwave.com/community/req...t_model_51.htm

Just specify the "Nokia N800 Internet tablet" as device.

I know this isn't quite the same, but it's a good workaround in the meantime...

I bought a aftermarket PSP metal case from Best-buy for around $30. It required a little trimming of the foam insert. But after that, it fits nicely.

... just a thought.

The case you refer to, distguitar, is a silicone one - works great to make n800 less likely to slip out of pocket or off dash.

A company called PDair also seems to be selling the same aluminium case for N770... maybe we can petition them too for the N800 ;-)

Did anybody actually tried the N770 model on an N800?

I have a flex case from a hong kong vendor on Ebay... It was only 4.99 with a 10.00 shipping charge. Works good and no scratched on my N800...

I have a case for the 770, which I tried to "adapt" to the 800. The bent results are in my desk drawer.

I wouldn't recommend it. . . The dimensions are just too different for it to work.

Thanks, K.
