Okay. I've owned my tablet for a week and I absolutely love it. However as many others have noticed it truly lacks a decent nav gps system. So I thought maybe if we as a community all ask for support for OS2008 maybe they would consider releasing us a version.

What to you think?

I think you have to make a human sacrifice with that request.

PS: Or, follow a simpler route and google for "Maemo Mapper".

If this is what we are talking about >> http://www.amazegps.com/index.php?page=demo&language=en it is a little more involved than MaemoMapper.

It also appears to be primarily available for JAVA J2ME and Symbian platforms which the NIT's do not support.

Thanks for the heads up nymusicman and welcome on board.

I did download it to my JAVA phone and found it interesting to say the least. It seems they may be hoping to be advertiser supported with that whole "Sales and Coupons" thing.

It'd be nice to take some of the nicer features of Maemo Mapper, plus some of the best features of Amaze and put them together.
