I had a 770...exchanged it for the n800...didn't touch it, now I'm reunited with my 770, it's been a while...I've lost touch with all the progress.

I had a few questions regarding 2007HE. Do these directions work for booting from MMC? First attempt set me into a reboot loop when trying to boot MMC2.

Also, do I apply the mmc speed patch before or after I move to MMC?....and do I only use '06 repositories? or could I add the '07 repositories?

Clone to MMC, the best I ever found and have used more than several times,

This one tells about the apps,

Quite some readings, right?

I am waiting on my 2GB RS-MMC card. I plan to boot 2007HE from MMC as well. I have OS 2006 right now but I plan to go to 2007HE. I will backup my 2006 to my PC harddrive just in case I ever decide to go back to OS 2006. I then will reflash my 770 with 2007HE and start from scratch. I plan to install becomeroot, osso-xterm advanced and ssh server and client first. I think I will document my steps because maemowiki seem to outdated or not always the easiest. Using becomeroot is much easier than the directions given by maemowiki on how to become root. I am going to use instructions from weezedog for the speed patch. It is on the first page of this link http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...sh+speed+patch . He booted directly from MMC so that is what I plan to do. The only thing different I will do is install unzip on my 770 first to avoid transferring the files over. From what I have read you should use the bora ('07) repositories first and treat your 770 like a 800 if you have upgraded to 2007HE.

I am afraid that is hearsay, see this thread,

http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...?t=9282&page=4,

#35,#36.

I think which version to use, the list of apps clearly defined the choice, 99.99% of apps are apps for 770, in particular MMapper and mplayer, absolutely should install the 770 version. So far, there is only one apps that works on 2007He but not 2006OS is Video Center.
