For those of us experiencing the random battery drain issues raised on other threads :

Would it be possible (or even worthwhile) to write an app that monitors the % battery use/hour and triggers an audio alert if it goes above a predefined/user-defined baseline ?

The app would activate on screenlock and poll the battery use regularly (perhaps this could be an add-on to one of the battery profile widgets).

Thoughts ?

Thanks, I'm using it.

It lacks an alert sound that triggers when my N900 suddenly starts eating battery while *apparently* lying idle in my bag.

I'd prefer to know about these events as soon as they happen, rather than when I pull my phone out two hours later and find the battery down to 40%
