providing commands, options, parameters from a command line as a fifo or in any interactive mode, if possible.
I really need such modifications to make some tests and learn why
application hangs on downloding some maps , some maps tiles at some resolutions set.
I would like to test and learn if Google Maps server/s can interfere with
download process, making it to hang on maemo.

Default Re: Maemo Mapper Virtual Earth Maps Downloader?
The database is in a very simple format. It's a GDBM database, and the relevant code to look at for the key/value pair is around line 800 of the maps.c file.

My question is the following.
I would like to test maemo mapper as an interactive application, run from a command line (it works), providing commands, options, parameters from a command line as a fifo or in any interactive mode, if possible.
What I am interested in is maps selection, zooming, centre point, routing selection, POI database interaction (mysql model like) and more.
Pls tell me gnuite and others what is a chance to have to run maemo mapper that way or to modify a code to have it run in interactive mode.
