You've seen this page I guess?
http://wiki.maemo.org/Troubleshooting_boot_issues
(Scroll to the bottom).
Can you paste here the contents of:
/proc/bootreason
/var/lib/dsme/stats/lifeguard_resets

/usr/bin/metalayer-crawler -F : 172 * /usr/sbin/ke-recv : 6 /usr/bin/hildon-input-method : 7 /usr/sbin/icd2 -l0 : 1 /usr/bin/hildon-desktop : 1 /usr/bin/clipboard-manager : 3 /usr/bin/esd : 1 /usr/sbin/multimediad : 1 /usr/sbin/dsp_dld -p --disable-restart -c /lib/dsp/dsp_dld_avs.conf : 1 /usr/sbin/gpsdriver : 1
/usr/bin/metalayer-crawler
/etc/init.d/metalayer-crawler0
the reboot frequency lowered, It usually happens when the device has a network connection (3g over BT or Wifi).
These reboots are by design as I see in the folder /var/lib/dsme/stats there is a file called [32wd_to] which just contains the number of self-reboots since reflash and is increased at every self-reboot. So ther should be a process / service / daemon which initializes these reboots. When this self-reboot is a result of a crash or hang, the OS is unable to maintain a statistics file.
Is there really no one who knows which daemon this is ? Are there Maemo developers on this forum ?
