To start with, remove the signature bits from the .dsc and change it to "Format: 1.0". That should get it to unpack at least. You'll probably also have to change debian/control to accept debhelper 5, and deal with anything that breaks because of that.
I'm trying to buid a python module on the Diablo.
I want to do it using the same scripts I currently use to push to my Ubuntu PPA.
When trying to push the package using dput, I got the error back on the server :
Unsupported format of .dsc file (3.0 (quilt))
