apt-get install sqlite3
or
apt-get install sqlite3 --allow-unauthenticated

Is that the workaround?
Code:
apt-get update > /dev/null ; echo $?

as root (devel-su, and develsh)
mv /etc/apt/sources.list ./
apt-get update
dpkg -i /var/cache/apt/archives/sqlite3_7.7-2+maemo2+0m6_armel.deb

(restore sources.list: mv ./sources.list /etc/apt/ and apt-get update)

No, Read all that is going in that shell congfu and you will see, its hard work, if its larger packages. Needs to get all the debs in the archive cache to dpkg from there, using reinstall
